To increase productivity and absorption of graduates in society and industry, consistently Geological Engineering Department Unhas to change the curriculum every five years. Besides these considerations are also considering changes in the curriculum standards and standardized format DIKTI oriented competency-based curriculum and the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI). In the process of curriculum change we always involve the relevant stakeholders, alumni and students as well as professional associations such as the Indonesian Geologists Association (IAGI) and the Association of Indonesian Geological Engineering Department (ASPRODITEGI). Currently we have a curriculum in 2017 with the number of credits 148, divided into 90% of the compulsory subjects and 10% of its cargo is elective courses, curriculum changes in 2011 to 2017 is expected to reduce the duration of a student's study (- + 6 years) and maintain the waiting time graduates to get a job under 6 months.
