Safety Induction Profile

The leadership of the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University is committed to implementing and enforcing an occupational safety and health management system. To support this commitment, the leadership of the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University bears overall responsibility for preventing workplace accidents and work-related illnesses, as well as for maintaining the environment around the workplace and providing facilities and infrastructure that ensure a safe, healthy, and comfortable work environment by taking the following steps:

  1.  Ensuring that policies and objectives related to occupational safety and health are established within the occupational safety and health management system and integrated into business processes
  2. Ensuring that the resources required for the occupational safety and health management system are available
  3. Developing requirements and standard operating procedures for implementing the occupational safety and health management system
  4. Ensuring that the importance of an effective occupational safety and health management system and compliance with occupational safety and health are communicated from the dean’s office down to departmental units
  5. Guiding and supporting employees to contribute to the effective implementation of the occupational safety and health management system
  6. Supporting management’s role in implementing the occupational safety and health management system
  7. Creating and developing a culture within the organization that supports the desired outcomes of the occupational safety and health management system
  8. Providing workers with a sense of safety and protection when reporting incidents, hazards, risks, and opportunities.
  9. Ensuring the organization establishes and implements processes for consultation and worker participation
  10. Supporting the formation and functioning of occupational safety and health committees
  11. Supporting the occupational safety and health management system
  12. in its continuous improvement
