A. Deskripsi Mata Kuliah
Mastering English is a necessity in almost every daily activity. From several language skills, speaking and reading skills are two things that are important and needed by the students nowadays. To fulfill these needs, the English team teaching in the General English course prepared a semester learning plan which aims to provide the comprehension and experience of speaking and reading in various contexts to Hasanuddin University students in 1st or 2nd semester. The topics discussed include the concept and importance of English communication, part of speech, basic tenses, reading strategies, expressing ideas in English, and English public speaking activities. The form of learning activities includes the learning process, structured assignments, and independent activities. Presentations, discussions, project-based learning, and problem-based learning are the learning methods applied in this course.
