Environmental issues are among the most fundamental concerns in the mining industry. Therefore, the Department of Mining Engineering at Hasanuddin University has developed core competencies in the field of mining environmental engineering. The primary objective is to equip students with knowledge and technological skills in mining environmental management, covering all stages from exploration to post-mining activities. The Hydrology and Mining Environment Laboratory is headed by Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Muhammad Ramli, M.T., with Asta Arjunoarwan Hatta, S.T., M.T. serving as a faculty staff member.
