Vision

An institution of educational, research, and development of environmentally-friendly mining engineering with international quality based on Indonesia Maritime Continent

  1. To administer education that supports professional skills and creativity in managing activities related to the mining industry.

  3. To actively perform in mining-related community service and to be responsive towards global challenges and development.

In line with the graduate profiles, the programme learning objectives of the Bachelor Degree of Engineering in Mining are to be able: 

  1. To develop technical design of mining. 
  2. To design and analyze mineral resources management and policy. 
  3. To gather knowledge of mine entrepreneurship. 
  4. To communicate effectively writing and oral.
Intended Learning Outcomes

To achieve the program learning objectives, the department has constructed several intended learning outcomes (ILO), which are:

Knowledge

To understand basic principles of geology, mathematics, physics, and chemistry, regarding the area of engineering. (ILO-02)

To acquire concepts of technology of mining. (ILO-03) 

SkillsTo apply logic and innovative thinking in developing knowledge and technology and problem-solving within the area of expertise. (ILO-04)
Competences

To be able to apply principles of knowledge and technology in developing the technical design of mining. (ILO-05) 

To be able to apply basic principles of geology, and engineering of physics, chemistry, mathematics, in analyzing and evaluating mineral and coal resources. (ILO-06) 

To be able to apply principles of economics, management and valuation techniques in planning andmanaging mineral and coal resources. (ILO-07) 

To be able to integrate principles of physics and mathematics in reviewing mining geomechanics. (ILO-08) 

To be able to study and take advantage of knowledge and technology in the engineering of mineral and coal processing. (ILO-09)
