Dimonev, Deputy Rector for Academic and Student Affairs at the Faculty of Engineering, UNHAS, Committed to Improving Students’ Academic Experience

30 Program Chairs and members of the Dean’s Office at the UNHAS Faculty of Engineering, together with the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Student Affairs (Vice Rector 1) and the UNHAS Directorate of Education team, conducted a joint monitoring and evaluation session regarding the completion of undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral studies within the UNHAS Faculty of Engineering. This monitoring and evaluation session took place in the Faculty of Engineering Senate Meeting Room at the Dean’s Office Building on the UNHAS Faculty of Engineering campus in Gowa Regency on Monday, December 12, 2022.

In his opening remarks, UNHAS Vice Rector for Academic Affairs (WR Bidang-1), Prof. drg. Muhammad Ruslin, M.Kes., Ph.D., Sp.BM (K), stated that as one of the state universities (PTN BH) accredited with the “Excellent” (UNGGUL) status, UNHAS must consistently lead by example in implementing efficient and effective curriculum planning in higher education. In this regard, the indicator of students completing their studies on time in accordance with the curriculum plan serves as the primary indicator of the quality of a study program’s management.

During this monitoring and evaluation session, the Dean of the UNHAS Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr.Eng. Ir. Muhammad Isran Ramli, ST., MT., IPM., ASEAN.Eng., welcomed the significant efforts made by the UNHAS Vice Rector for Academic Affairs to reduce the number of students who have exceeded the planned duration of study as outlined in the curriculum. Furthermore, Prof. Isran stated that the Dean’s Office and all leadership bodies of the departments and study programs within the UNHAS Faculty of Engineering are committed to implementing continuous improvement efforts so that the number of undergraduate (S1), master’s (S2), and doctoral (S3) students at the UNHAS Faculty of Engineering who graduate on time as scheduled by the curriculum can increase significantly over time. The Director of Education at UNHAS, Dr. Risma Maulani, welcomed the commitment to the efforts that have been and will be undertaken by the Dean’s Office, Department Heads, and Program Directors within the Faculty of Engineering at UNHAS.

Following the monitoring and evaluation session, the UNHAS Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and his delegation held a brief discussion with the Dean, the Dean’s Office staff, and department heads within the Faculty of Engineering at UNHAS in the Dean’s Lounge. Various issues and potential solutions in the areas of academics and student affairs were discussed during this meeting.
