Hasanuddin University’s Faculty of Engineering Enters into a Partnership with Cenderawasih University’s Faculty of Engineering
The Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University has entered into a partnership with the Faculty of Engineering at Cendrawasih University. This partnership was formalized with a signing ceremony held on Thursday, March 7, 2024, in the auditorium of the Faculty of Engineering at Cendrawasih University.
The signing was conducted directly by the Associate Dean for Research Partnerships and Innovation at the Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Rustan Tarakka, ST., M.T., IPM., ASEAN. Eng., and on behalf of Cenderawasih University, by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Ir. Johni Jonatan Numberi, M.Eng., IPM. The event was attended by the Heads of the Doctoral and Master’s Programs at Hasanuddin University, the First Associate Dean, the Second Associate Dean, the Chair of the Department of Electrical Engineering, and faculty members from the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Cenderawasih University.
The purpose of this cooperation is to support the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education at the Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University, and the Faculty of Engineering, Cenderawasih University, as well as the fulfillment of the primary duties and functions of each party. Meanwhile, the objective of this cooperation is to improve the quality of human resources in the fields of science and technology.
The scope of this collaboration encompasses three initiatives: First, the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University will organize a Collaborative (Affirmative Action) Class within the Doctoral Program in Electrical Engineering; second, the Faculty of Engineering at Cenderawasih University will nominate prospective students for this Collaborative (Affirmative Action) Class who meet the graduation criteria in accordance with the regulations in effect at Hasanuddin University; Finally, the Affirmative Action Collaboration Class is a program designed with special attention to ensuring access to and services in education, coursework, research, and dissertation completion.
The event also featured a public lecture delivered by Prof. Dr. Ir. Andani, M.T., on “Artificial Intelligence to Support the Advancement of Digital Transformation,” which was attended by faculty members and students from the Faculty of Engineering at Cenderawasih University.
