Sapri Pamulu Officially Takes the Helm at IKATEK UNHAS; the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Engineering Offers Its Full Support.

In welcoming the new leadership of the Hasanuddin University Engineering Alumni Association (IKATEK), the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering expressed his full support for the new IKATEK Unhas executive board for the 2024–2028 term, led by M. Sapri Pamulu.

Prof. Isran stated that the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Engineering is ready to work in synergy and collaborate closely with the new IKATEK executive board, particularly the newly elected IKATEK President. Prof. Isran also expressed his highest appreciation to the previous IKATEK executive board led by Haedar A. Karim.

According to him, the previous executive board under the leadership of Haedar A. Karim made significant contributions and provided substantial support for the development of the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University.

“The Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University also extends its highest appreciation and gratitude for the leadership of Kanda HAK as the previous IKATEK Chairperson, who contributed greatly to supporting the development of the Faculty of Engineering campus at Hasanuddin University,” said Prof. Isran Ramli.

Previously, the National Congress (Munas) of the Hasanuddin University Engineering Alumni Association (IKATEK UNHAS) elected M. Sapri Pamulu as Chairman of IKATEK UNHAS for the 2024–2028 term.

The National Congress, held at the Unhas Engineering Campus in Gowa on Friday, April 12, 2024, was attended by representatives from the alumni associations of all engineering departments, regional alumni associations, and the autonomous bodies of IKATEK UNHAS.

Anwar Mattawape, Chair of the IKATEK UNHAS National Congress Organizing Committee, stated that this year’s National Congress proceeded smoothly and dynamically.

“Alhamdulillah, the National Congress was dynamic because everyone shares the same vision to advance the alumni of the Unhas Faculty of Engineering and contribute to development,” said No’, Anwar Mattawape’s nickname.

He also expressed his deepest gratitude to the Unhas Faculty of Engineering administration for its extraordinary support in ensuring the smooth running of the IKATEK National Congress.

“We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the university administration, particularly the Dean of the Unhas Faculty of Engineering, who provided us with extraordinary support—both in terms of the venue for the conference and catering for the participants,” he said.

“We also extend our thanks for the support from IKA Unhas and the previous IKATEK executive board,” he added.

On that occasion, Anwar Mattawape also commended the performance and achievements of the previous executive board under the leadership of Haedar A. Karim, and expressed his hopes for the newly elected IKATEK Unhas Chairperson.

“Our hope for the newly elected Chairperson is that they can continue and build upon the work of the IKATEK Unhas executive board to make it even better in the future and foster an even stronger sense of unity. “The standards set by the previous chairperson, Haedar Karim, were already very high, and now we just need to further strengthen our unity,” he said.

Meanwhile, the newly elected Chairperson of IKATEK Unhas for the 2024–2028 term, M. Sapri Pamulu, outlined his plans for the near future following the National Congress.

“We will immediately form the executive board and make improvements upon what has already been achieved by Haedar,” said Sapri Pamulu, who currently serves as CEO of the state-owned enterprise PT Indah Karya (Persero).

Furthermore, Sapri also outlined his vision and mission for leading IKA Teknik Unhas for the upcoming term.

“Our vision and mission remain focused on maintaining synergy and improving upon what already exists, so that IKATEK will be even better in the future,” he explained.

Meanwhile, the outgoing Chairperson of IKA Teknik Unhas for the 2020–2024 term, Haedar A. Karim, also shared his hopes for the IKATEK Unhas leadership for the 2024–2028 term.

“First, we hope to see broader and more active alumni engagement and participation in various activities and programs organized by IKATEK Unhas,” said Haedar A. Karim while presenting the accountability report of the IKATEK Unhas executive board for the 2020–2024 term to the National Congress participants.

“Second, I hope to see the implementation of more comprehensive and structured career development and training programs for alumni. With these programs, alumni will have the opportunity to continuously develop their skills and knowledge—both in technical and managerial fields—so they can compete globally and make greater contributions to the nation’s development,” he concluded.
