UNHAS Faculty of Engineering Extends Partnership with Ehime University’s Graduate School of Science & Engineering in Japan
The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at UNHAS, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Muhammad Isran Ramli, ST., MT., IPM., ASEAN.Eng., and the Dean of the Graduate School of Science and Engineering at Ehime University in Japan, Prof. Hiroshi Takahashi, agreed to extend the existing academic cooperation between the two institutions. This was marked by the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Extension by the two deans at the Graduate School of Science and Engineering building on the Ehime University campus in Matsuyama, Japan, on November 15, 2022.
Both parties agreed to further intensify academic cooperation activities, including faculty and student exchanges for learning and research, joint research and publications, joint curriculum development for undergraduate and master’s degree programs, collaboration on resource promotion for academic programs and the organization of joint international seminars/conferences, and other mutually beneficial collaborations aimed at enhancing the academic capacity of both parties.
At the MoU signing ceremony and the Focus Group Discussion between the teams from both parties, members of the UNHAS Faculty of Engineering delegation included, among others, Dr. Ir. Yahya Sirajuddin, MT, in his capacity as Director of Planning at UNHAS; Dr.Eng. Muhammad Rusman, ST., MT., IPM., ASEAN. Eng., serving as the Associate Dean for Planning, Human Resources, and Alumni at the UNHAS Faculty of Engineering; Dr.Eng. Muralia Hustim, ST., MT., serving as the Chair of the Department of Environmental Engineering at the UNHAS Faculty of Engineering; and Dr.Eng. Bambang Bakri, ST., MT., as Deputy Secretary of the Technology Center (Pustekno) at the Faculty of Engineering, UNHAS; Prof. Dr. Ir. Sumarni Hamid Aly, MT., as the representative of the Faculty of Engineering, UNHAS, Board of Professors; and Ir. Hajriyanti Yatmar, ST., M.Eng., as Secretary of the Office of International Affairs at the Faculty of Engineering, UNHAS. From the Graduate School of Science and Engineering, Ehime University, the delegation included Dr. Kazuyuki Nakahata and Dr. Takahiro Tsubota from the International Affairs Office; Chikanobu Ino, Vice Dean of the Graduate School of Engineering; and Erni Johan (Associate Researcher at Ehime University), who served as the facilitator.
