Visit from the Japanese Embassy

Ms. Mari Takada, Minister for Economic Affairs at the Embassy of Japan, visited the Faculty of Engineering at Unhas, Gowa Campus, on April 7, 2016. The purpose of the Minister’s visit was to observe the progress of the Unhas Faculty of Engineering campus construction project, which is funded through a yen loan project, including inspecting campus buildings and facilities such as laboratories and equipment. During the observation, she also received explanations from faculty members regarding the use of facilities and equipment for research and learning activities conducted at the Faculty of Engineering. In addition, Ms. Takada discussed the Center of Technology (CoT) established by the Faculty of Engineering to facilitate collaboration among the university, industry, and the government. The establishment of the CoT is also supported by technical cooperation with JICA through the C-BEST project.
