Present as resource persons, namely Dr. eng. Ir. Abdul Rachman Rasyid, ST., M.Si (Head of Urban and Regional Planning Study Program) and Dr. Ir. H. Edward Syarif, ST., MT (Head of Architecture Study Program).

On that occasion, Rachman explained that the PWK Study Program had been established since 2003. Initially, he joined the Architecture Study Program. However, since 2016 it has been independent as a study program at the Faculty of Engineering, Unhas.

In terms of resources, PWK has 16 teaching staff consisting of professors and doctoral graduates at home and abroad. In supporting academic services, PWK provides complete facilities such as laboratories and workshops. This study program is also accredited A by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN PT).

“The scope of PWK is wider where in this study program we learn how to place spatial plans such as settlements, facilities in one area or city. For example, a good urban area planning can be seen from the transportation,” explained Rachman.

Head of the Unhas Architecture Study Program, Edward also explained about the study program he leads. He explained that the Architecture Study Program focuses on designing buildings. This study program is supported by facilities and infrastructure for scientific development that are quite complete. This study program has been accredited A nationally by BAN PT and received international AUN-QA recognition, and has an international class.

“The career prospects of architectural alumni are very broad and are needed in all fields. As long as there is a building, the profession of architect becomes important. Soon we will also open architectural professional education and hopefully this can be realized soon, "explained Edward.
