VISION

By referring to the formulation of the vision of the University, Faculty of FT-Unhas above, the vision of the PS S1 PWK FT-Unhas is formulated:

Becoming a leading Urban and Regional Planning Undergraduate Study Program in Asia with an insight into the Indonesian Maritime Continent (BMI) in 2028

Target

In general, the achievement of this vision will be achieved in 2028 (S1 PWK-UH2028) with indicators of excellence in the form of the number of PWK graduates who are on time (4 years) at least 95%, a maximum waiting time of 3 months in the field of work in accordance with PWK science and technology, scientific papers the academic community published in reputable journals (for international 5 papers/year, national 10 papers/year, proceedings 20 papers/year. Become the best PS 5 nationally (N5), 50 best in Southeast Asia (SEA50), 100 best in Asia (A100), top 150 globally (W150), thanks to God Almighty (T).

MISSION

The mission supports the realization of the vision in 2028 with the following details:

Education
  1. Organizing a sustainable teaching and learning process in the field of Science and Technology PWK in general, and especially those with BMI perspective.
  2. Leading and excelling in learning in the field of Science and Technology PWK and producing good quality graduates in accordance with the quality standards of Higher Education.
Research

Conduct research that is relevant and useful for the development of PWK science and technology, both in general and specifically with an insight into BMI.

Community Service
  1. Carry out community service in the field of PWK based on research results and actual issues, especially those with BMI perspectives.
  2. Utilizing available resources to actively solve humanitarian and environmental problems, in the PWK domain based on the lecturers' research, planning, experience, and science and technology of the lecturers.
Management
  1. Curriculum-based on VMTS PS which is anticipatory and adaptive to the dynamics of the development of issues and progress of PWK science and technology, as well as changes in the world of work of its graduates.
  2. Fulfill the ratio of the number of lecturers and students and develop the qualifications of lecturers to meet the needs of human resources in the implementation of the tri dharma of PT following VMTS PS.
  3. Meet the standards for the number and qualifications of education personnel to meet the needs of human resources such as administrative administration, librarians, workers, and technicians who support the tri dharma activities of PT.
  4. Parallel partnerships with domestic agencies (DN) and foreign institutions (LN) such as universities, research institutions, government, private companies, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
  5. Facilities and infrastructure that support the activities of PT.
Values

Maintaining, developing, and implementing academic, moral, and ethical values in the PWK Undergraduate Program based on Hasanuddin University policies, namely:

  1. Integrity, representing the nature of honesty, courage, responsibility, and firm stance.
  2. Innovative is a combination of creative, quality-oriented, independent, and pioneering.
  3. Catalytic, representing ethics, courtesy, flexibility, openness in communicating and collaborating with equal partners.

OBJECTIVE

General Purpose: 

To produce professional scholars who are anticipatory and accommodating to the dynamics of the development of PWK issues and science and technology, changing demands of the world of work, as well as producing scientific and planning works in the field of PWK.

Special Purpose:
  1. Produce graduates who are professional in the development and application of PWK science and technology, especially those with BMI insight.
  2. Produce graduates who are professional in career support competencies, mainly as planning experts in the field of PWK, as well as special science and technology expertise which is a field of laboratory studies within the PWK Department: regional planning, tourism, and disaster mitigation; urban planning and design; seaside urban planning; housing and settlement planning; and infrastructure and transportation planning.
  3. Building other competencies for graduates who are gay and indispensable in careers in PWK, such as surveyors, analysts, GIS and spatial data experts, animators, and computer-based programmers.

  • In 2020, 100% of students can complete their studies on time (4 years) and have a GPA above 3.0.
  • By 2020 80% of graduates can be achieved with a waiting time of 3 months to get their first job.
  • The year 2020 produces graduates who have academic and professional competencies, master the basics of science and practice, and are competitive in the field of regional and urban development, including regional and urban planning and design.
  • The year 2018, produced students and graduates who have the values of integrity, innovation, catalytic, and wisdom in the teaching and learning process and in their careers.
Teaching Staffs
  • In 2023, there was an increase in the qualifications of lecturers, 5 professors, 15 doctorates, whose competencies were in accordance with the needs of the PWK curriculum.
  • By 2023, it can be achieved that 100% of lecturers have competence and capacity in research, in the sense that each lecturer conducts research at least 1 per year and his research paper is published in a reputable journal as the main researcher.
  • By 2023, it can be achieved that 100% of lecturers have the competence and capacity to carry out community service activities (PKM) at least 1 activity a year based on the results of research, planning, and/or experience and/or science and technology.
Administrative Staffs
  • In 2020, all academic, administrative and financial education personnel are skilled in compiling/processing the SIM-Unhas Database (including the fields of Academic, Administration and finance, student affairs) and the Academic Portal-UH.
  • In 2020, all non-academic, administrative and financial education personnel are able to carry out tasks according to their job descriptions.
