The Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University again held a workshop with the theme Maritime Region and City III. This workshop was held virtually via the Zoom application. This event was filled by 12 presenters who were the latest graduates of the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University Period III and IV for the 2019/2020 Academic Year.

Opening Speech from the Dean of FT-UH in the 3rd Maritime Region and City Workshop Online

The workshop, which was held on July 2, 2020, was opened directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Ir. A. Muhammad Arsyad Thaha, M.T. In his remarks, he appreciated this activity by saying that the Regional and Maritime Workshop III could be a means to promote the results of the final project of regional and urban planning students, especially the event which was held on a national scale and was attended by (i) students from all over Indonesia. He hopes that this event can be continued and developed again every period. He also suggested involving stakeholders/developers/etc in activities like this, so that the student's final project can be used as a reference in determining policies.

In harmony with Prof. Dr. Ir. A. Muhammad Arsyad Thaha, M.T., Head of the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Dr. Ir. Hj. Mimi Arifi, M.Si also appreciates and hopes that this Maritime Region and City Workshop can be held annually and is of value for worship for all related parties.

Furthermore, the purpose of holding this Maritime Region and City Workshop is as a medium to disseminate thesis results to the wider community, especially regional and city planners. In addition, this event is a form of appreciation for the performance of graduates who are able to achieve graduation predicate with proud grades. The following are the GPA and graduation predicate of the 12 seminar presenters as well as fresh graduates (latest graduates) from the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University for the fourth period of 2020.

The winner of the best GPA for this period is Sister Regita Chahyani Abdul Gani with a total GPA of 3.97 with cum laude predicate

This workshop is the 3rd time being held since 2019. Due to the large benefits it generates, we hope that this event will be held regularly every undergraduate graduation period and develop along with the inputs given each period.
