Hasanuddin University’s Faculty of Engineering Holds “Eco Halte” Contest and Awards Prizes to Five Winning Teams
Gowa — The Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University (FT-UH) officially announced the five winning teams and one audience favorite in the Eco Halte Design Competition, which was held as part of an effort to provide environmentally friendly bus stop facilities on campus. The award ceremony took place on October 4, 2025, at the Unhas Faculty of Engineering Classroom Building, and was attended by faculty leadership, the judging panel, and contest participants.
This contest aims to encourage student creativity in producing bus stop designs that are aesthetically pleasing, functional, and sustainable in line with the green campus concept. Participants came from various study programs within the Faculty of Engineering.
The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Muhammad Isran Ramli, S.T., M.T., IPM., AER., expressed his appreciation to all participants for their involvement.
“This competition is not merely a design contest, but also a tangible contribution by students toward building a more comfortable and environmentally friendly campus environment,” he said.
After undergoing a rigorous evaluation process based on aspects of innovation, material sustainability, environmental adaptation, and constructability, the following results were obtained:

In addition to receiving certificates, the winning teams also received cash prizes, which were presented directly by the faculty leadership.
The chair of the organizing committee, Dr. Ar. Edward Syarif, ST.MT. , hopes that the selected designs can be implemented soon.
“We aim for this design to be turned into a campus bus stop facility that is actually used by students and the academic community,” he explained.
Through this event, the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University reaffirmed its commitment to continuously encourage innovation and the application of sustainability concepts in the development of campus facilities.
