The Faculty of Engineering at Unhas Establishes a Partnership with Perumda Manuntung Sukses Balikpapan Through the Signing of an MoU

The Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University (Unhas) has officially established a partnership with the Balikpapan Regional Public Enterprise (Perumda) Manuntung Sukses for the purposes of human resource development, research, and technology application. This partnership was formalized with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two parties, which took place at the Perumda Manuntung office in Balikpapan on Friday, November 29, 2024. The MoU was signed by the Associate Dean for Partnerships, Research, Innovation, and Alumni, Prof. Dr. Ir. Rustan Tarakka, ST., M.T., IPM., ASEAN. Eng., who represented the Dean, and the President Director of Perumda Manuntung Sukses Balikpapan, Gunawan, S.T. Representatives from both institutions were also present at the event to witness the signing. This collaboration aims to improve the quality of education, training, and research, particularly to support human resource development, community service, and related initiatives. Both parties agreed to support each other in activities that will benefit the community and advance innovation and technology in the field of engineering. Through this MoU, it is hoped that in the future there will be various collaborative activities—such as seminars, workshops, and joint research—that can strengthen the relationship between academia and industry and foster innovations beneficial to regional development.
