The Faculty of Engineering Senate at Hasanuddin University Visits the Faculty of Engineering Senate at Gadjah Mada University for a Comparative Study

The Faculty of Engineering Senate at the University of Hasanuddin (UH) conducted a working visit to the Faculty of Engineering Senate at Gadjah Mada University (UGM). This working visit took place on Tuesday, December 7, 2023, at the UGM Faculty of Engineering campus.

The delegation was led by Prof. Triyatni Mertosenjoyo, a senior senator on the UH Faculty of Engineering Senate who also serves as Chair of Commission 1 of the UH Faculty of Engineering Senate. Prof. Triyatni was accompanied by Prof. Luther Sulle (Chair of Commission 2 of the UH Faculty of Engineering Senate), Prof. Abd Rachman Djamaluddin (Chair of Commission 3 of the UH Faculty of Engineering Senate), and Prof. Adi Tonggiro (Secretary of Commission 2 of the UH Faculty of Engineering Senate). Also participating in the FT Unhas Senate delegation were Prof. M. Saleh Pallu, one of the Senior Senators of the FT Unhas Senate, and Dr. Muhammad Ramli, a member of the FT Unhas Senate who is also the Head of the Technology Center (Pustekno) at FT Unhas. They were received directly by the Chair of the FT UGM Senate and several FT UGM Senate leaders, as well as the Dean of FT UGM.

During this meeting, the UGM Faculty of Engineering Senate explained its Core Duties and Functions in accordance with the UGM Rector’s Regulation on the Organization and Governance of Faculty Senates at UGM. This was followed by a discussion and exchange of information regarding experiences and ideas on the ideal working mechanisms for a Faculty-level Senate within a State University with Legal Entity Status (PTN-BH), as both parties are Senate organizations at the faculty level within the scope of State Universities with Legal Entity Status (PTN-BH).
