The Pustekno CoT at the Unhas Faculty of Engineering Holds a General Occupational Safety and Health (K3) Expert Certification Training for Faculty and Staff

The Center of Technology (CoT) at the Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University (Unhas), organized a General Occupational Safety and Health (K3) Expert Certification training program for faculty members and educational support staff as a strategic step to enhance occupational safety and health competencies on campus. The event kicked off on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, in the 2nd-floor conference room of the CoT Building in Gowa.

The twelve-day training was attended by dozens of participants from various groups within the Faculty of Engineering, ranging from faculty members and lab technicians to support staff. The material covered included hazard identification, risk assessment, and emergency response procedures in accordance with national standards.

The event was officially opened by the Vice Rector for Human Resources, Alumni, and Information Systems, Prof. Dr. Farida Patittingi, S.H., M.Hum, who was accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Muhammad Isran Ramli, S.T., M.T., IPM., AER., along with the Head of the South Sulawesi Provincial Government’s Department of Manpower and Transmigration, Dr. Jayadi Nas, S.Sos., M.Si., who also delivered remarks.

This event is also in line with Unhas’s efforts to strengthen the implementation of the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3) on campus, as part of ongoing efforts to improve the quality and safety of work in the education sector.
