Results of the Roundtable Discussion for Higher Education Institution Leaders on Student Affairs at PIMNAS 2018 at UNY, Yogyakarta:
Guidance from the Director of Student Affairs at the Directorate General of Higher Education (Dikti) regarding the importance of improving the quality of student activities in university rankings; therefore, each institution is expected to commit to allocating 8%–10% of its budget to student activities.
Students are the primary subjects or actors in higher education; in university rankings, student activities are a key factor alongside research and community service. Therefore, university leaders are expected to pay greater attention to student activities. Universities are encouraged to design student activities focused on character development and talent cultivation.
Guidance from the Secretary of the Directorate General of Higher Education regarding improvements to the PIMNAS program for the coming year, including a proposal to add an activity focused on the commercialization of PIMNAS outcomes. PIMNAS is expected to serve as one of the key activities in shaping the character of Indonesian students into competitive graduates.
