To Celebrate Its 64th Anniversary, the Faculty of Engineering Hosts the Kickoff Event for the Unhas Engineering 64 Cup.

The Hasanuddin University Faculty of Engineering has kicked off a series of events to celebrate its 64th anniversary. The first event in the series was the launch of the Unhas Engineering 64th Anniversary Cup, which began with a kickoff ceremony held in the courtyard of the CSA and CoT buildings at the Faculty of Engineering in Gowa on Monday, June 10, 2024.

The event began with a report from the Chair of the 64th Faculty of Engineering Anniversary Committee, Dr. Eng. Fakhruddin, ST., M.Eng., followed by remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Muhammad Isran Ramli, S.T., M.T., IPM., AER, who also officially opened the 64th Faculty of Engineering Anniversary Cup.

In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering emphasized that participants should prioritize sportsmanship toward one another during the competition. Prof. Isran also noted that this event represents a collaboration between the dean’s office and students to support one another.

This year’s 64th Unhas Faculty of Engineering Anniversary Cup has involved greater student participation, including collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering Student Senate in organizing the event. It is hoped that this will increase student interest in participating and livening up the event. This aligns with what Dr. Fakhruddin stated: that this event also serves as an opportunity to identify talented students to participate in competitions outside the campus.

The 64th Unhas Engineering Faculty Anniversary Cup is an annual sports competition that forms part of the University of Hasanuddin’s Faculty of Engineering Anniversary celebrations. A wide variety of sports are featured in the competition, ranging from mini-soccer, volleyball, table tennis, tennis, badminton, chess, basketball, to esports.

This competition is expected to serve as an opportunity to foster sportsmanship and teamwork, as well as to strengthen bonds among students, faculty, and staff so they can grow closer to one another.
