Unhas Faculty of Engineering Hosts JICA Visit: Monitoring Aid Facilities and Discussing Future Collaboration

Gowa, May 20, 2025 – The Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University (FT Unhas) hosted a visit from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to monitor the progress of the Hasanuddin University Faculty of Engineering Development Project (JICA Loan IP-541). The purpose of this visit was to monitor the progress of previous assistance and discuss potential future cooperation.

The JICA delegation consisted of Akeda Sachiko, JICA’s Head of Office in Indonesia; Tozawa Ayuka, JICA’s Representative for Indonesia; and Tozawa Ayuka, JICA’s Regional Development Manager in Indonesia: JICA’s Regional Development Division Lead in Indonesia, was personally welcomed by the Dean of the Unhas Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ir. Muhammad Isran Ramli, S.T., M.T., IPM, ASEAN Eng., along with the faculty leadership. The meeting took place at the Center of Technology (CoT) Building of the Unhas Faculty of Engineering

The event continued with a presentation on the condition of the facilities and achievements of the Unhas Faculty of Engineering, as well as a visit to the laboratories to observe firsthand the utilization of infrastructure developed through previous cooperation projects.

This visit marks the ongoing commitment between the Unhas Faculty of Engineering and JICA to strengthen international collaboration, with the hope of continuing to improve the quality of education and research in the field of engineering in Indonesia.
