Unhas’s Faculty of Engineering Holds an Information Session on HIV/AIDS, Criminal Law, and the Student Code of Ethics for the Class of 2023
Gowa, May 18, 2025 – The Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University (Unhas) held a series of educational activities aimed at raising awareness and improving understanding among the class of 2023 regarding health and legal issues.
These activities included an HIV/AIDS awareness campaign, criminal law education, and guidance on the student code of ethics. This event is a collaboration between the Unhas Faculty of Engineering, the Bontomarannu Police Station, and the local community health center.
The HIV/AIDS awareness session aims to provide accurate information on the transmission, prevention, and management of HIV/AIDS. With increased understanding, it is hoped that students can play an active role in preventing the spread of this disease on campus and in the community.
During the criminal law session, students were educated on various criminal cases commonly encountered in society, as well as the associated legal consequences. This is important so that students can avoid unlawful behavior and understand the applicable legal processes.
In addition, an understanding of the student code of ethics was conveyed to instill values of integrity, responsibility, and academic ethics. By understanding the code of ethics, students are expected to uphold the institution’s reputation and foster a healthy academic environment.
The event was well-received by participants, who felt they gained new knowledge and insights beneficial to their academic and social lives. The Unhas Faculty of Engineering is committed to continuing to organize similar activities to develop students who are not only academically intelligent but also possess a high level of social and legal awareness.
