Unhas’s Faculty of Engineering Once Again Graduates More Than 200 Students at the April 2026 Commencement Ceremony
Gowa – The Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University once again held a graduation ceremony for the April 2026 graduating class, which took place at the Unhas Hotel & Convention Ballroom on Tuesday (March 31). This event marked an important milestone in sending off more than 200 new graduates who are ready to contribute to the professional world.
The event began with registration and a group lunch, followed by the opening ceremony, a group song, and a prayer. A solemn atmosphere filled the room as the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Muhammad Isran Ramli, S.T., M.T., IPM., AER., delivered his remarks.
In his remarks, the Dean expressed his appreciation to all graduates for their hard work and dedication throughout their studies. He also expressed his hope that the alumni would uphold the good name of their alma mater and make tangible contributions to society and the industrial sector.
The event continued with the announcement of the names of the top graduates from the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs, as a form of recognition for their academic achievements. The main ceremony—which involved the Department Chair reading the names of all graduates and presenting them with medals—was the most anticipated moment, symbolically marking the students’ successful completion of their studies.
In addition, the Dean handed over the alumni roster to the Chair of the Engineering Alumni Association (IKATEK), formally welcoming the graduates into the extended family of the Unhas Faculty of Engineering alumni. This ceremony was followed by the recitation of the alumni pledge, led by the Chair of IKATEK.
The event also featured remarks from the Chair of the Faculty of Engineering Alumni Association, as well as information sessions on the tracer study and the alumni endowment fund, before concluding with a reception that strengthened the bonds between the academic community and the alumni.
Through this event, the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University reaffirmed its commitment to producing high-quality, outstanding graduates who are ready to compete at both the national and international levels.
