Unhas Faculty of Engineering’s Halal Bi Halal Event Combined with the Inauguration of the Sports Hall, Engineering Building, and SPKLU

Gowa – The Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University (FT Unhas) held a Halal Bi Halal 1447 H event, combined with the inauguration of several new facilities—namely the Sport Hall, the Engineer Building, and a Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU)—on Tuesday (March 31, 2026) at the Sport Hall on the FT Unhas campus.

The event was attended by the entire academic community of the Faculty of Engineering, ranging from faculty leadership, lecturers, and administrative staff to student representatives and student organizations. The event unfolded in a solemn yet warm atmosphere of fellowship following the Eid al-Fitr holiday.

The event began with participant registration, followed by the opening ceremony, a recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, and a prayer. Next, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Muhammad Isran Ramli, delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of the Halal Bi Halal gathering as a means to strengthen brotherhood and enhance synergy within the Faculty of Engineering.

On this occasion, the Rector of Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa, was also present to deliver remarks and officially inaugurate the Sport Hall, the Engineer Building, and the FT Unhas SPKLU. In his remarks, the Rector expressed his hope that the Sport Hall would serve as a venue for developing students’ interests and talents in sports, thereby enhancing the achievements of Faculty of Engineering students and producing professional athletes who can bring honor to the institution.

The inauguration was marked by the signing of a commemorative plaque and symbolic activities, including a futsal kickoff, basketball shooting, badminton serves, and table tennis serves.

The construction of this facility is expected to support both academic and non-academic activities of the university community, as well as to be part of the Faculty of Engineering’s efforts to improve the quality of modern and sustainable campus facilities and infrastructure.

The event concluded with a reception that further strengthened the camaraderie among all attendees.
