Who Is Andi Annisa Tenri Ramadhani? Engineering Student Named Unhas 2021 Mawapres
Andi Annisa Tenri Ramadhani was named the top outstanding student at Hasanuddin University in 2021.
The name of the young woman, who is affectionately known as Annisa, was announced on the official Student Affairs website of Hasanuddin University on Tuesday, May 25, 2021.
The Outstanding Student Selection (Pilmapres) is a regular event organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology.
This event involves universities across Indonesia sending their delegates to compete in the national-level outstanding student competition.
The year 2021 was a golden year for the Faculty of Engineering.
This is because Annisa, a recipient of the prestigious Cargill Global Scholars Program and XL Axiata Future Leaders scholarships, was selected as the representative of the Faculty of Engineering and will compete on behalf of Unhas at the national level.
Naturally, the preparation process was long and challenging, both for her personally and for the academic community of the Unhas Faculty of Engineering.
“I am very grateful to have been chosen as Unhas’s delegate for the Pilmapres competition. To achieve this, a great deal of preparation went into it,” she said.
In addition, support from her academic advisor, the 2020 Engineering Student of the Year, the Department of Environmental Engineering, and the Faculty of Engineering played a crucial role in Annisa Tenri Ramadhani’s success.
The selection process for the 2021 Unhas Pilmapres included an evaluation of the Outstanding Achievements (CU) form, a psychological test, a scientific paper, and an English presentation.
Her outstanding achievements include not only winning the “Kemitraan Menjaga Bumi 2020” Recycling Innovation Competition and the “NEO (National Environmental Expo) 2019” Scientific Writing Competition.
Annisa, the 2021 Unhas Student Ambassador, is also the chairperson of a faculty-level Student Activity Unit (UKM) focused on foreign languages: WELCOME09 SMFT-UH (Worldwide Language Community of Engineering 09, Unhas Faculty of Engineering Student Senate).
In addition, she is active as the Makassar Chapter Coordinator for the Indonesia YES Alumni Associations under the Bina Antarbudaya Makassar Chapter.
This October, along with two other engineering students, Annisa will travel to Japan to participate in the Kanazawa University Exchange Program.
Annisa’s achievement marks a new milestone for the Faculty of Engineering.
For the first time ever, this year’s Unhas Mawapres comes from the Faculty of Engineering.
Nevertheless, she hopes this achievement marks the beginning of a journey for engineering students.
“Although I am the first Unhas Mawapres from the Faculty of Engineering, I hope I won’t be the last. I hope the next generation of students can achieve even greater things,” Annisa concluded with high hopes.
Gratitude was also expressed by the leadership of the Unhas Faculty of Engineering.
Mukti Ali, Associate Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Partnerships at the Unhas Faculty of Engineering, stated that this year the Faculty of Engineering finally won the Unhas Outstanding Student Award.
“God willing, our students will represent Unhas at the national level,” he said.
Mukti Ali also thanked all parties who had helped the Unhas Faculty of Engineering students perform at their best this year and emerge as champions.
“Congratulations also to the Department of Environmental Engineering,” added Mukti Ali, Associate Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Partnerships at the Unhas Faculty of Engineering.
Undeniably, this achievement is the result of the Unhas Faculty of Engineering’s efforts to prepare outstanding human resources capable of competing globally.
This aligns with the statement made by the Third Vice Dean of the Unhas Faculty of Engineering: “The Faculty of Engineering’s Student Affairs Office, with the capabilities it possesses, consistently encourages students to develop their potential and improve their achievements.
“We do this not merely to prepare candidates for the National Student Achievement Award, but to prepare competent students capable of competing on the global stage,” continued Mukti Ali.
Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ir. A. Muhammad Arsyad Thaha, MT, stated that the achievement earned by the Faculty of Engineering through Annisa at the Pilmapres competition must not stop here.
“The faculty will always encourage and support future high-achieving students,” said the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ir. A. Muhammad Arsyad Thaha, MT.
Annisa’s achievement as the 2021 Unhas Student Ambassador is the beginning of her journey to compete at the national level; may Annisa be granted success and achieve the best results for her beloved alma mater.
