The Department of Informatics Engineering at Hasanuddin University is Set to Host the Hybrid International Conference on Research and Innovations in Information and Engineering Technology (RITECH 2025) in Makassar.

Amidst the increasingly intensive digital transformation, one of the biggest challenges faced is how technology can be optimized to create solutions that are not only innovative, but also sustainable in dealing with global issues such as climate change, limited natural resources, and the increasing demand for environmentally friendly solutions. Sustainable solutions are increasingly becoming a major focus in technology research and innovation. With rapid technological advances, breakthroughs in programming, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), and other technologies have the potential to make major contributions to solving global problems related to sustainability. In line with this, the Department of Informatics Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University, held " The 1st International Conference on Research and Innovations in Informatics and Engineering Technology 2025" or " RITECH 2025 ".

 

Carrying the theme "Sustainable Solutions: Leveraging Information and Engineering Technology" , the conference aims to explore innovative applications in information technology and engineering to address global sustainability challenges. The conference will be held on 6-7 September 2025 at Swiss-Belhotel Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia . RITECH 2025 will be held in a hybrid format , combining face-to-face and virtual sessions, to reach participants from both within and outside the country.

 

Prof. Dr. Ir. Indrabayu, ST., MT., M.Bus.Sys., IPM, ASEAN. Eng., Head of the Informatics Engineering Department, Hasanuddin University, as well as the Advisory Board of RITECH2025, said that RITECH 2025 is the first international conference that will be held routinely every year by the Informatics Engineering Department, Hasanuddin University. This conference is expected to bring together experts from various countries to share ideas and the latest research results in the field of informatics and engineering technology. In addition, this event also aims to strengthen international relations in the development of research and technological innovation, as well as discuss the challenges and opportunities that exist in the implementation of sustainable technological solutions in various sectors. With this conference, it is hoped that global collaboration will emerge in presenting innovative solutions that can support the achievement of sustainable development goals, as well as encourage progress in the field of more environmentally friendly and sustainable technology in the future.

 

Novy NRA Mokobombang, ST, Ms.TM, Ph.D., as General Chair of RITECH 2025 said, “This year, RITECH 2025 will present four keynote speakers from leading universities including Universitas Indonesia-Indonesia, Monash University-Australia, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee-India, and Universiti Sains Malaysia, Malaysia. We invite all academics and practitioners in the technology field to participate in this activity.”

 

RITECH 2025 presents leading keynote speakers in their fields, namely:

  • Prof. Patrick Olivier (Monash University, Australia)
  • Dr. Sudip Roy (Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India)
  • Dr. Chong Yung Wey (Universiti Sains Malaysia, Malaysia)
  • Prof. Dr. Muhammad Suryanegara, ST., M.Sc., IPU (University of Indonesia, Indonesia)

RITECH 2025 opens opportunities for paper submissions on a variety of cutting-edge topics, including but not limited to:

  • Artificial Intelligence and Data Science
  • Emerging Technologies and Future Computing
  • Signal Processing and Communication Systems
  • Internet of Things (IoT) and Smart Systems
  • Software Development and Engineering
  • Sustainability and Green Computing

All accepted, registered and presented papers will be submitted for inclusion in the Scopus indexed proceedings .

 

Here are the important dates for the RITECH 2025 Call for Paper:

  • Paper Submission Deadline (Extended): 31 July 2025
  • Notification of Acceptance: 1 August - 2 September 2025
  • Regular registration: 12 August - 3 September 2025
  • Camera-Ready Paper Submission: 5 September 2025
  • Conference Date: 6-7 September 2025
