The Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University Celebrates Its 63rd Anniversary.
To celebrate its 63rd anniversary, the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University held the culminating event of its 63rd anniversary on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at the UNHAS Faculty of Engineering campus.
The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Muhammad Isran Ramli, S.T., M.T., IPM., ASEAN Eng; the Rector of Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa, M.Sc.; the Governor of South Sulawesi, represented by the Head of Social Welfare at the South Sulawesi Provincial Secretariat, Drs. H. Muhammad Rasyid; as well as the deans and associate deans of several faculties at Hasanuddin University.
The event began at 7:00 a.m. and opened with the start of the Engineers Run organized by Runners09, followed by a health exercise session. This was followed by the opening ceremony and remarks by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Muhammad Isran Ramli, S.T., M.T., IPM., ASEAN Eng. This was followed by remarks from the Rector of Hasanuddin University and a message from the Governor of South Sulawesi, read by the Head of Social Affairs at the South Sulawesi Provincial Secretariat, Drs. H. Muhammad Rasyid.
In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Muhammad Isran Ramli, S.T., M.T., IPM., ASEAN Eng expressed his deepest condolences on the passing of one of the full professors at the Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Asri Jaya HS, S.T., M.T., IPM, who passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023.
Afterward, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Muhammad Isran Ramli, S.T., M.T., IPM., ASEAN Eng also expressed gratitude for the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University’s 63rd anniversary. “Certainly, over the course of these 63 years, the Faculty of Engineering has fostered a culture of academic excellence in the field of engineering, and we can all witness the results of this academic development—the Faculty of Engineering is one of the faculties that has made a significant contribution to the advancement of Hasanuddin University.” Finally, Prof. Isran expressed his hope that the academic community of the Faculty of Engineering would not only demonstrate engineering values but also prioritize the humanistic aspect.
This was followed by remarks from the Rector of Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa, M.Sc. In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa, M.Sc., spoke about the importance of maintaining good health in today’s world and encouraged the academic community to take advantage of the health facilities provided by Hasanuddin University.
Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa, M.Sc., expressed his appreciation for the progress made by the Faculty of Engineering. “One example is the launch of the new Metallurgical and Materials Engineering program,” he said. He also looked forward to future innovations.
