Unhas Faculty of Engineering Hosts IC-REST 2025: Promoting Engineering Innovation for Global Sustainability

The Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University (FT-UH) will once again host the International Conference on Research in Engineering and Science Technology (IC-REST) 2025, which will take place on August 27, 2025.

The conference’s theme is “Smart Engineering Innovations for Mitigating Disruption toward Global Sustainability”, with the aim of discussing the vital role of engineering innovations in addressing global disruption and promoting sustainable development.

The conference will feature a number of prominent figures from both Indonesia and abroad.

IC-REST 2025 featured the participation of academics and researchers from various countries, with over 100 papers presented. These papers addressed various strategic issues related to engineering, science, and technology, particularly in the context of sustainable development.

In his opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Muhammad Isran Ramli, S.T., M.T., IPM., AER. emphasized that IC-REST 2025 is not merely a forum for presentations, but a space for interdisciplinary academic collaboration.

“This event serves as a platform for interdisciplinary collaboration and building global networks. We hope that presenters will not only present their papers but also engage in discussions and exchange ideas with one another, thereby generating new ideas that benefit both the academic community and the broader public,” he stated.

With more than 100 papers presented and the participation of researchers from various countries, IC-REST 2025 strengthens the position of the Unhas Faculty of Engineering as an academic center actively engaged in the development of science and technology. The conference is expected to yield innovative breakthroughs to address global challenges and pave the way toward a resilient and sustainable future.
