To Strengthen Academic Expansion in the Capital, the Faculty of Engineering at Unhas Partners with the Faculty of Engineering at UNTAR to Support the Launch of the Civil Engineering Doctoral Program at Unhas’s PSDKU in Jakarta
The Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University continues to expand its network of strategic collaborations in the development of national engineering higher education. One concrete step taken is through an academic partnership with the Faculty of Engineering at Tarumanagara University (UNTAR) in Jakarta to support the operation of the Doctoral Program (S3) in Civil Engineering at the Unhas Faculty of Engineering’s Off-Campus Program (PSDKU) in Jakarta.
This collaboration is part of the Faculty of Engineering’s efforts to strengthen the development of PSDKU-based doctoral education (Study Programs Outside the Main Campus) at the Hasanuddin University Jakarta Campus, while also fostering synergy among universities in the utilization of academic facilities and the advancement of scientific research in the field of civil engineering.
Through an official academic visit held on Friday, March 6, 2026, the FT Unhas delegation, led by the Dean of FT Unhas, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Muhammad Isran Ramli, S.T., M.T., IPM., AER established a collaboration with the UNTAR Faculty of Engineering involving the use of UNTAR’s Civil Engineering Laboratory facilities to support the operations of the Unhas Faculty of Engineering’s Civil Engineering Doctoral Program in Jakarta.
The Unhas Faculty of Engineering delegation was also accompanied by Prof. Dr. Ir. Muh. Arsyad Taha, MT. (Vice Chair of the Unhas MWA), Dr. Eng. Ir. Bambang Bakri, ST., MT. (Secretary of the Department of Civil Engineering, FT Unhas), Prof. Dr. Eng. Rita Irmawaty, ST., MT. (Chair of the Civil Engineering Doctoral Program, FT Unhas), and Dr. Ir. Rosmariani Arifuddin, ST., MT. (Administrative Secretary of the Graduate Program at the Unhas Jakarta Campus).
The FT Unhas delegation was received by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at UNTAR, Dr. Ir. Wilson Kosasih, M.T., along with the Head of the Civil Engineering Doctoral Program, Ir. Oei Fuk Jin, S.T., M.Eng., D.Eng., and the Manager of Development and Collaboration, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ar. Fermanto Lianto, M.T., IAI.
The meeting discussed opportunities for collaboration in the use of laboratory facilities, the development of joint research, and the strengthening of a more collaborative and impactful doctoral education ecosystem in civil engineering.
Through this initiative, the Unhas Faculty of Engineering demonstrates its commitment to continuously expanding access to high-quality doctoral education and strengthening the university’s contribution to the advancement of engineering science and national development.
