Unhas’s Faculty of Engineering Holds a Workshop on Aligning the K23 Curriculum in Accordance with the Rector’s Latest Regulation

Gowa – The Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University (FT Unhas) held a K23 Undergraduate Program Curriculum Alignment Workshop as a follow-up to the implementation of Hasanuddin University Rector’s Regulation No. 2/UN4.1/2026 regarding Amendments to Rector’s Regulation No. 29/UN4.1/2023 on the Implementation of Undergraduate Programs at Hasanuddin University.

The workshop was held on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at the Technovation Room, 2nd Floor of the Engineering Building, Unhas Faculty of Engineering, and was attended by faculty leadership, academic administrators, and the chairs and secretaries of the undergraduate study programs within the Faculty of Engineering.

This event aimed to align the K23 curriculum with Unhas’s latest academic policies, particularly regarding quality enhancement, learning flexibility, and the relevance of graduates to the needs of the workforce. The new Rector’s Regulation includes several important updates, among them the recognition of Micro-Credential Programs as part of Competency-Strengthening Courses (MKPK), as well as the reinforcement of flexible, learning-outcome-based learning schemes.

In addition, the regulation also reaffirms several strategic provisions, such as:

• The duration of undergraduate programs is a minimum of 7 semesters and a maximum of 10 semesters, with the possibility of a one-semester extension for students completing their final thesis.
• The curriculum is designed to span 7–8 semesters with a minimum course load of 144 SKS and a maximum of 155 SKS, and must include the Community Service Program (KKN) 4 SKS course.
• Strengthening learning pathways such as fast track, recognition of prior learning (RPL), and microcredentials as part of the digital learning transformation and collaboration with industry.

The official workshop invitation was signed by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Unhas, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Muhammad Isran Ramli, S.T., M.T., IPM., AER., dated January 30, 2026, and addressed to the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Department Chairs and Secretaries, Undergraduate Program Directors, as well as the administrators of quality assurance and academic services at the Faculty of Engineering.

Through this workshop, the Faculty of Engineering at Unhas is committed to ensuring that all undergraduate programs are able to implement a curriculum that is adaptive, competitive, and aligned with national policies as well as the vision of Hasanuddin University as a leading and innovative institution of higher education.
